What we put in our bodies affects more than just our waistline.
And with that in mind, I've been on a huge spinach kick lately.
I swear to the high heavens that I've already seen improvements in my skin.
I feel radiant!
Maybe if Popeye had shared some of his spinach with
Olive Oil, she wouldn't have looked quite so sallow.
Spinach is a super food full of...
+ TONS of flavanoids and carotenoids, which help fight against inflammation (ACNE) and other systemic diseases... like the big C, cancer!
+ Beta-carotene and vitamin A are powerful antioxidants that are known to repair sun damage!
+ Vitamin C which plays a huge role in our body’s collagen and elastin, and we all know they are the magic ingredients to youthful, supple skin.
+ Lutein for healthy, sparkly eyes! {not skin but completely relevant}
I prefer to eat my spinach uncooked and in yummy salads
with strawberries, almonds and tangy vinaigrettes.
How do you eat yours?

I love spinach (and it doesn't hurt that it is good for you either).
ReplyDeleteI never knew that it could help repair sun damage. Pretty cool. You've really done your research :)
spinach is a staple in our home! we eat it raw in salads, in our egg white omelets, chopped up, mixed w/ goat cheese and stuffed in chicken... you name it! i love it every which way. except maybe out of a can...i don't know how popeye did that ;) XO brynn
